Our world’s demand for energy is ever-increasing, and this creates technological challenges generating, managing, conserving, and storing energy. ARES experts have decades of experience solving complex energy issues for government and commercial clients.
Areas of Expertise
ARES has provided support to the commercial nuclear power industry since inception. Our experts have significant experience with NRC, TVA, and the operating plants, both domestically and internationally. Engineering, risk management, structural/seismic analysis, and equipment qualification are among the key services ARES provides to this industry.
ARES is committed to helping develop and commercialize new technologies to protect our environment, stimulate rural economic development, and reduce our country’s dependence on foreign oil. ARES experts help clients plan their way through the project’s life-cycle including defining needs, understanding data, designing systems and components, managing construction, mitigating risks, and commissioning projects. We’re ready to deliver comprehensive solutions to manage the dynamic climate change drivers.
ARES provides our specialty engineering, construction and commissioning, facility asset management, project management, and risk management services to numerous Department of Energy (DOE) sites. Including LANL, LLNL, INL, ORNL, LBNL, SRS, Y-12, PANTEX, NTS, ANL, and BNL.
ARES specializes in complex DOE projects which often entail high levels of risk to people, facilities, and the environment. ARES proven risk-based processes reduce and mitigate every aspect of those risks.
Efficient use of energy saves money, reduces negative environmental impact, and helps reduce the United States’ dependence on foreign energy sources.
ARES helps government, commercial, and industrial clients to address energy and resource issues cost-effectively and reduce energy use by implementing energy-efficient technology and designs. Our approach encompasses:
- Assessing new construction for energy-efficient improvements
- Designing buildings and systems to use less energy
- Incorporating energy-efficiency technology into system and facility upgrades
ARES provides a full range of project and construction management support services, including project definition, project planning, fabrication/construction services, estimating, QA/QC, scheduling and cost engineering to major petrochemical and industrial clients worldwide. We are re-engineering project management with the use of the PRISM suite of software products. PRISM software is flexible enough to be used in on any size project in virtually any industry.
ARES also provides risk management services to the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. For example, we have provided risk management/failure modes and effects analysis support to the oil and gas industry (majors and equipment suppliers) for expandable screen and well completion hardware systems. A current project involves the engineering development and testing of a prototype well zone isolation valve.
