BluTrain Features

Blutrain is a computer modeled, high-fidelity training simulator. It allows any range of users or guards to train on virtual representations of actual or planned facilities to build security awareness and test response procedures and tactics.

  • Create a site-specific 3D visual model to train within familiar environments
  • Navigate BluTrain with a realistic first-person perspective to face training scenarios and adversaries
  • Receive a unique instructor vantage point through a graphical and real-time display of trainees actions and overall collaborative strategies
  • Scale from training single guards on a single task to large multi-person collaborative exercises
  • Assess individual performance and overall response with quantitative reports

Within the life-like virtual environment, users are able to assume the role of individual Protective-force and Adversary agents and interactively develop, test, and practice defensive strategies. Users will encounter agents controlled by other users as well as agents controlled by BluTrain. The user-controlled agent moves within a 3D model of the actual site so that security-force personnel can train in a virtual representation of their own location. Users can engage in combat with opposing agents, attempt to reach specified targets, or practice different attack or defensive strategies to see which strategies prove most effective.

Realistic Environment: BluTrain creates a 3D visual model to train within familiar environments

First Person Experience: Each trainee navigates from a first-person person perspective, which leverages modern video game technology to provide an immersive user environment that emphasizes real-world experience rather than computer skills.

Single and Multiple Users: Scales to train single guards on a single task through large multi-person collaborative exercises.

Virtual Tour Capability: Individual users can walk around any model as though they were touring a site in order to become familiar with any location and understand the time needed to navigate this location.

Computer controlled agents: This fills the role of unassigned pro force or adversary units. This enables instruction in individual proficiency as well as overall response strategies.

Command Interface: An easy-to-use Command Interface allows each trainee to make use of the best weapons and tools available, while a heads-up display provides pertinent status in a logical format.

Unique Instructor Oversight: Instructors receive a unique vantage point through a graphical and real-time display of trainees’ actions and overall collaborative strategies.

Measurable Statistics: The server Command Center provides trainers detailed reporting and playback capabilities for each simulation, assess trainees against numerous adversary capability packages, and compares human response to computer-planned tactics as a training aid.

Easy Scenario Creation: BluTrain allows a trainer to quickly set up and run simulations from a single machine, with each trainee taking the part of either guard or adversary.

Built on AVERT technology: Users can import existing site models and performance data libraries from AVERT or they can create new models within the BluTrain site creation utility. BluTrain uses AVERT technology to identify the most effective paths for intruders, allowing users to train against optimum adversary intrusion paths. Cross-compatibility with AVERT can eliminate start-up costs.
