ARES threat reduction and consequence management subject matter experts have executed operations in more than 100 countries around the globe. We have implemented security solutions and/or provided emergency response training at more than 300 sites ranging from small remote storage facilities to large nuclear power plants and transportation systems around the globe.

Vulnerability Assessments

ARES personnel are experienced in conducting numerous types of threat and vulnerability assessments for commercial, local, state, federal, and international customers. Our methodology utilizes a well-established process assessing the potential threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies supported by our vast data analytic capabilities. ARES’s long history of excellence in data analytics, industry leading software tool development, and deep experience in assessing high risk environments ensures we deliver an insightful and actionable vulnerability assessment for any operating environment. ARES proven process allows decision makers to use an objective quantitative methodology to make informed qualitative risk decisions using a structured and repeatable process.

Physical Security Design and Upgrades

ARES multi-discipline engineering capabilities integrate seamlessly with our security SMEs to ensure we understand the latest in requirements and adversary capabilities along with state-of-the-art physical security systems to effectively mitigate a vast array of potential threats for any high-risk facility. Our ability to conduct a gap or needs analysis and demonstrate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies allows our customers to make effective cost-benefit decisions as they evaluate alternatives. Our experience with design, build, operate and assuring effective security in dynamic threat environments allows us to select the best-of-breed equipment for any particular operating environment.


Security solutions are only as good as the people who execute them. We develop and deliver training that provides the knowledge and skills necessary for protective forces and emergency operations personnel to execute their mission. We design and execute tabletop and full-scale exercises to reinforce that training, incorporating lessons learned as we go. ARES National Security Operations team brings personnel with deep experience as former Navy SEALS, Special Operations Forces, nuclear security forces, and other military, law enforcement, and national security expertise. Not only do our personnel know how to train, evaluate, and conduct exercises—we do so with decades of experience engaging with our international partners, building relationships that continue to increase global security.

Protective Force Procedures

ARES National Security Operations team brings personnel with decades of experience as former Navy SEALS, Special Operations Forces, nuclear security forces, and other military, law enforcement, and national security expertise. We understand security force procedures and how to effectively implement them to ensure protection for high-risk resources. ARES has significant involvement in developing protective force procedures used by our international partners and have authored training courses for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Emergency Management

ARES personnel are certified, trained, and experienced in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Preparedness System (NPS) and help clients design customized procedures ensuring effective response to emergency incidents. Using a systematic and proactive approach, ARES SMEs help ensure all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector work together seamlessly in response to all threats and hazards. ARES personnel have designed interagency response plans for high-threat incidents that remain the standard today for multiple federal agencies and departments along with international partner nations / governments.
