The ARES team supporting the NASA technology portfolio management system, TechPort, recently presented a technical conference paper at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) ASCEND conference.  This paper has been published in the AIAA Journal. You can access the paper here.

The NASA Technology Portfolio Management System, known as TechPort, provides a platform for the Agency’s technology data integration, strategic planning, outreach, and external collaboration activities. TechPort is a data-driven information system designed to house information about NASA’s past and current applied research and experimental technology development activities. With this information stored in a single, comprehensive location, NASA is able to effectively conduct strategic technology investment planning, aligning investments to Agency technology gaps and identifying areas where additional investment is needed to meet Agency goals. NASA uses TechPort to communicate technology capabilities and gap information to industry and academia, creating opportunities for synergistic development, new partnerships, and collaboration.

ARES has supported design and development of the TechPort system since 2011, and has received multiple awards and accolades, including the 2021 NASA STMD Innovation Award, 2018 Space Flight Awareness Award, and the 2015 Group Achievement Award.
